2016 Spring League
Continue to develop as a player this fall while gaining real game experience. Elevate trainers will coach each team with a focus on fundamentals, team play, and developing a passion for the game. The goal is to give each player equal playing time in a competitive environment. No team practices—just games. We sold out last year, so make sure to register early to hold your spot!
Elite Scoring Clinic — Coach Cindy Martin
The Elite Scoring Clinic was designed by Former NCAA Division I & Division II Head Coach Cindy Martin, to simulate a college shooting practice. She will teach you the footwork & skills to become an elite scorer. Coach Martin will put you through drills to help you make better “game decisions” on how to score by reading screens, attacking off of an on-ball screen, spacing within an offense, knowing where to rotate/cut when you don’t have the ball, and how to score 1 vs. 1 without a screen from various locations on the court. This is clinic you’ve been waiting on to take your scoring to the next level. Pre-registration is required on-line at Elevate to hold your players spot.
Little Ballers 3rd-4th Grade — Coach Cindy Martin
Intermediate to advanced players will be taught basketball fundamentals on both offense and defense on a 10 Foot Hoop. Each class will include ballhandling, layups, shooting, passing, footwork, help side defense and rebounding. This is a co-ed class.
Train 4 Tryouts — Coach Cindy Martin
Take your basketball skills to an elite level with advanced skills & drills. Each class will include ballhandling, layups, shooting, passing, help side defense and rebounding. An emphasis will be put on preparing you for the tempo, focus and skills for your upcoming tryouts & season. An option of 5 or 4 days of class will be offered in March to accommodate for spring break week—you pick the day you will miss class or sign up for all 5 days! Speed, Agility & Transition—Coach Cindy Martin
SAT: Learn how to run faster, change directions quicker, control your body and use your feet to have an advantage over your opponent. Each class will include drills to help you become a better scorer, cutter and defender in the half court and it transition. All drills will be basketball specific. An option of 5 or 4 days of class will be offered in March to accommodate for spring break week—you pick the day you will miss class or sign up for all 5 days! AAU Tryout Prep Camp — Coach Cindy Martin
Get ready for your upcoming AAU tryouts & season with this advanced camp that will simulate the drills, intensity and pressure of a competitive tryout. Even if you are on a competitive team, this camp will sharpen your skills and enhance your basketball IQ to give you an advantage this season. Campers will also participate in a “college prep” talk to learn what they should be doing on and off the court to have the opportunity to play in college. Competitive players only. Perimeter Skills Clinic — with Drew Slone
Clinic will emphasize: Change of Speed/Direction with the basketball, Starts, Stops, Pivots and Footwork, Proper Shooting Form, 1 on 1 moves and Decision Making.
Moving Without The Ball Clinic—with Drew Slone
Clinic will emphasize: Proper Screening technique Away From the Basketball, Spacing, Cutting, The goal of this clinic is to show kids what they can do to help their team be successful when they do not have the basketball in their possession.
Little Dribblers K-2nd Grade—Coach Cindy Martin
Beginning to intermediate players will be taught basketball fundamentals on both offense and defense on a 8’5” Hoop. This is a co-ed class.
Breakfast Club — with Drew Slone
Wednesday mornings from 6am-7am. This class will be focused on repetition of game shots as well as ball handing.
Shooting and Offensive Skills—with Pure Form
Pure Form Basketball will be conducting a 6-week program focusing on the proper mechanics of the shot and offensive skills. The program will be limited to the first (24) players who register and pay online.
Triple Threat Camp — with Drew Slone
Camp will emphasize the development of proper technique in the areas of shooting, passing, dribbling, and footwork. Camp will also include 1 on 1 moves, 3 on 3, 4 on 4, and 5 on 5 as well as a number of contest and prizes. Join us at Elevate Basketball Academy over spring break for a lot of fun and basketball development. Camp includes special guest speakers, a provided lunch and a camp t-shirt.
Jay Burson Basketball Camp
Emphasis on Individual Skill Development, Team Play and FUN. Skill Development -Ball Handling, Shooting, Pivoting, Boxing out, Defense, Passing, Getting Open, Moving Without the Ball.
